Wall Mount Exhaust Fans shown on this page are rated from 300 to 85,000 CFM with static pressures to 1” w.g. Models range from 8" to 72”. A wide range of accessories are available to meet any need or specification. We offer one of the most comprehensive list of makes and models available on the internet. Wall mounted exhaust fans fall into two categories, axial wall exhaust fans or propeller wall exhaust fans also known as through wall exhaust fans where the airflow is straight into and out of the exhaust fan and centrifugal wall exhaust fans are fans where the the airflow is discharged 90 degrees from the intake. The motor is out of the air stream on a centrifugal wall exhaust fan giving it the advantage in applications such as restaurant hood exhaust when grease laden air is a factor. Axial wall exhaust fans are typically mounted to a wall with little or no duct work. Axial wall exhaust fans do not maintain their performance as well as centrifugal wall exhaust fans when ducting is connected. Axial type through wall exhaust fans are the best choice when moving large volumes of air directly through the wall with little or no duct work.

Belt Drive Wall Exhaust Fan models are for use in a variety of applications for commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings such as manufacturing and assembly plants, warehouses, parking garages, gymnasiums, equipment rooms, distribution centers, foundries, boiler rooms, greenhouses and OEM applications. Belt driven wall exhaust fans typically have the ability to move more air than their direct drive exhaust fan counterparts at lower RPM's and noise levels. Belt driven wall exhaust fans do have more moving parts and require more maintenance such as keeping the bearings greased and maintaining a belt. Belt driven wall exhaust fans will sometimes allow you to adjust the performance by up to 10% if there is a variable pitch sheave on the motor. This is can be important if you are in a climate controlled area where you want to be able to equalize the pressure in the building. Direct Drive Wall Exhaust Fan models provide general ventilation for a wide variety of buildings and enclosed areas within buildings. The big advantage that direct drive through wall exhaust fans have over belt drive wall exhaust fans is they have fewer moving parts. The means less maintenance (no belts or bearings to maintain) but it also means that the exhaust fan speed is dependent on the motor speed. Some of the small wall exhaust fans with louvers that you find for example in kitchen exhaust applications, workshops and small greenhouse applications may have 2-speed motors, 3-speed motors or variable speed motors. Typically, you can't control the speed of a direct drive wall exhaust fan unless it is 1/2 horsepower or smaller or if you use a inverter duty or premium efficiency motor with a variable frequency drive (VFD) controller.  Examples of direct drive wall exhaust fans include but are not limited to factories, assembly plants, warehouses, gymnasiums, garages, jails, machine rooms and many others. Industrial Wall Exhaust Fans are designed for continuous use and reliability and are manufactured from heavy duty materials. Industrial grade wall exhaust fans come in a variety of voltages ranging from 115V, 208-230V single phase and 230-460V or 575V 3 phase. We also sell wall mount exhaust fans for specialty applications such as highly corrosive or high heat environments made from fiberglass, stainless steel construction, specialty coatings (such as galvanized, heresite etc). Motor options for industrial wall exhaust fans range from ODP (fairly clean air stream) to Totally Enclosed Motors for harsher environments. Industrial exhaust fans also come with a variety of propellers ranging from high strength plastic to riveted steel to cast aluminum. We offer a large variety of industrial exhaust fans from only the top manufacturers.

Commercial Wall Exhaust Fans or light duty wall exhaust fans or residential wall exhaust fans are designed for frequent or intermittent use. Commercial wall exhaust fans generally have ball bearing motors and can be either hard wired or plug in models. Sometimes residential exhaust fans have bushing style motors and are considered a lower grade product. Commercial wall exhaust fans many times are two speed, three speed or variable speed units.

Cabinet Wall Exhaust Fans are typically a panel exhaust fan or venturi mounted exhaust fan in a steel wall cabinet designed for through wall applications. By enclosing the panel exhaust fan in a wall cabinet, with an intake guard and gravity or motorized back draft damper, it becomes a self-contained, fully assembled unit that slides right into the appropriate rough opening. The other advantage with a cabinet wall exhaust fan is that it maintains the proper distance from the exhaust fan to the back draft damper. This is an important distance to maintain to cut down on turbulence and/or static pressure that can be caused by the damper. The back draft damper on the cabinet mount wall exhaust fan is important to keep the outside air from coming back through the fan when it is not in operation. Cabinet Wall Exhaust Fans are usually the type of fan you find in larger facilities that require a large volume of air and ease of installation.
